CUSP - Carbon Utilization and Storage Partnership

The influence of anthropogenic carbon dioxide (CO2) on climate is a national and global concern. No one state or country can address it alone. The AZGS is partnering with members of the Carbon Utilization and Storage partnership to address CO2 regionally in 13 states, 3 national laboratories and the U.S. Dept. of Energy (DOE), including from west-to-east and north-to-south: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana (Montana State University) California (Stanford University), Nevada (Desert Research Institute), Utah (University of Utah and Utah Geological Survey), Arizona (Arizona Geological Survey), Colorado (Colorado School of Mines), New Mexico (Los Alamos National Laboratory, New Mexico Tech, Sandia National Laboratory), Kansas (Kansas Geological Survey), Oklahoma (University of Oklahoma), Texas (University of Texas Permian Basin) and Indiana University.
